The life philosophy of Dr. David Samadi is pretty simple. Dr. Samadi states that he tries to make everyone feel good about themselves. David doesn’t look down on anyone. His staff is treated like family. Patient’s are listened to and treated with respect. It’s this simple philosophy the has Dr. David Samadi smiling all the time. David tries hard to avoid negativity. He surrounds himself with positive people and good energy and for David it has been a big payoff.

Dr.David Samadi stated that at every point where he has reflected on life, whether business or personal, he has been smiling. David wouldn’t change a thing and looking back at his career, I don’t think anyone would change it either. Dr.David started Samadi’s career in 1994 after graduating from Stony Brook University with his degrees in Medicine and in Biochemistry. After that, post graduate field work took place at Montefiore Medical Center while finishing schooling at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. David Samadi stated that he was lucky in his career choices. First starting with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center working at achieving a fellowship in Proctology. While working in this fellowship, David heard of a group of French doctors who were pioneering the new field of robotic medicine. David was able to go assist in the robotic work for a year in France. This move opened new doors for David and because of this experience, Dr. Samadi was able to expand his scope of practice in the United States.

At Columbia Presbyterian, Dr. Samadi was able to build the best minimally invasive program in the country, specializing in the prostate, bladder, and kidneys. Five years from his start date with Columbia, David was chosen to be the Vice Chair of Urology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. It was in this position that Dr. Samadi was able to perform thousands of robotic surgeries across the world. Currently, Dr. David Samadi has transformed the operating rooms into models of sleek efficiency at Lennox Hill Hospital, where David is the Chief of the Urology department. It is here that Dr. Samadi is trying to pioneer new procedures in the world of robotic prostate surgery. Making the procedures even more efficient and safe for men to undergo with less special side effects.
