Jennifer Walden’s Remarkable Plastic Surgeon Career


Dr. Jennifer Lee Walden is one of the popular plastic surgeons in the United States. She is also the founder of Jennifer L. Walden and Walden Cosmetic Surgery Center. Jennifer began her career at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital where, Dr. Sherrell Aston mentored her. Bazaar magazine has ranked her among the 24 best beauty surgeons in the United States. Jennifer was born in Austin, Texas to a dentist father and a surgical nurse mother. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Texas and later joined the University of Texas Medical Branch.


Her Career


While at the Texas University Medical Branch, Jennifer obtained aesthetic surgery fellowship-studies through the help of Dr. Sherrell at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. At the end of her fellowship she stayed on and worked on Upper East Side in New York City for about eight years. During her tenure, she devoted her skill, experience and time in clinical trials, a practice that led to the reintroduction silicone made breasts. In 2011, Jennifer returned to her homeland, Austin, Texas where she opened a private hospital in Westlake Hills. The private practice center grew successfully and in 2014, she ventured Marble Falls, Texas, where she opened a satellite office. Currently, she is a consultant to several organizations such as ThermiAesthetics, Venus Concept, Sciton Inc., and Ideal Implant.


Specialty and Recognitions


Jennifer is well known for use and development of advanced and excellent technologies in her practices. Some of the technology she uses includes Vectra, which is a 3-D imaging technology that envisages the look of the patient before the surgery. Moreover, she uses Thermiva, which is a radio-frequency virginal tightening and rejuvenation technology with controlled temperatures. She has also developed accurate scientific surgical instruments for breast surgery.


In 2015, she was recognized as one of the best plastic surgeons in America and also featured in an article about labiaplasty. She is among the few women to have served on the board of directors of American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). Jennifer is also an author of several journals and books. Some of her publications include; Aesthetic Plastic Surgery textbook, Complications after Autologous Fat Injection, Aesthetic Plastic Surg, among many others.
