Dr. Steven Villanueva is the founder and the CEO of MB2 Dental. He is an active dental practitioner at the dentistry. Before founding own dental healthcare, he had worked in different fields including investing in a pizza joint that terribly failed. To found MB2 Dental, Dr. Steven was motivated to creating an environment where dental practitioners would practice their expertise without being micromanaged. He also wanted to provide a place where they would work at their specific areas of interest as compared to being mixed in a pool of practitioners where they couldn’t specialize. He saw a need to have happy and satisfied dentists offering quality services and MB2 Dental became that place. He translated this to improved and quality dental care to their patients.
Dr. Steven encourages people to focus on what they are best at rather than getting attracted to other areas they find other people thriving in but they are not basically good at. From his experience, Dr. Steven advises people to surround themselves with people who are better than them at their areas of interest. The habit helps in personal growth and development as one is able to learn many new things from such people. He also encourages self-time to reflect on ones’ achievements and ideas on where they want to be heading to. One of the strategies used by Dr. Steven when setting his vision is by starting with asking why he is doing it. If he has the answer to this question he proceeds with the vision and if he has not the answer, he revises it.
At MB2 Dental, the use of technology is highly appreciated. As the CEO of the dentistry, Dr. Steven feels that technology has helped in improving dental services and he would always grow with it. The time spent on a patient becomes less and the dental procedures become less painful. The dentistry is unique by nature in other than requiring work done by its dental practitioners; it has a mentoring culture where they are encouraged to have personal growth. It has a team of experts that help its practitioners on challenging issues related to marketing challenges, payroll compliance and any legal issues that they may face. Above all, the practitioners are encouraged to have fun while working at the dentistry and its CEO has actually invented some methods for having fun. This has helped in improving the relationship of the employees among each other.
