The perception that people had a decade ago on various issues pertaining things such as medicine and technology is very different from that which they have today. Back then, you could not have convinced anyone that aging can be controlled through various mechanisms. Most believed that it was a functional decline which little could be done to alter it since it resulted from molecular damage which accumulates as time passes by. People even went to extremes to try and explain how aging occurs and continues research led to the birth of the hyperfunction theory. Listen to an audio podcast of Oncotarget on Itunes.

According to the theory, aging is influenced certain pathways such as Target of Rapamycin (TOR). These elements influence it gradually making it a progressive occurrence. Further research has dictated that rapamycin, which is responsible for the aging process can be utilized in the prevention of certain diseases such as those that are cancer-related. If the levels of rapamycin are altered, aging can be manipulated, thereby, successfully slowing down the aging process.

Mikhail Blagosklonny and his team of experts have been working on aging and cancer treatment for years and have recently made several advancements on the two. The renowned professor is a very determined man and is always committed to what he sets his mind to. He has made several contributions to many medicine-related fields, especially oncology. While working at the Rosewell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, he has done tremendous work together with a team of experts. Within a period of hard work, Mikhail Blagosklonny has produced several remedies for the cancer illness.

Blagosklonny has been working hand-in-hand with Oncotarget trying very hard to come up with the cure for various diseases that trouble the human race. The research has also led to the discovery of certain remedies for aging, thereby, giving people hope of living a better life that is free of age-related illnesses as well as a better and longer life in the long run. Mikhail’s discoveries have proven that Rapamycin can indeed be used to lengthen a person’s life. Doctors from all over the world can now use the research to help cancer patients buy some more time to be with their friends and family. Learn more at

It was at the First Pavlov State Medical University where he was able to gain knowledge in the field of medicine. Here he received his degree as well as a Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine and Cardiology. He first worked at the New York Medical College. After working as an associate professor in the college, he became a senior scientist at the Ordway Research Institute. These platforms enabled him to gain a lot of experience and a passion for solving medical problems.

Blagosklonny’s contributions to the medicine world are greatly appreciated. Because of him, cancer patients have renewed hope of living a longer life with less medical problems. If everything goes according to plan, Blagosklonny intends to make the world a better place to live in by giving everyone a chance to access medical assistance regardless of their economic status and where they come from.
